NPR had this story this morning on the worsening health conditions of the aging and the homeless. Homeless adults in their late 40s and early 50s have the health problems of those in their 70s and often die within 10 years. Two things stuck out to me about this story. One that they had enough support from her disability insurance to get an efficiency, but not enough ability to put down a security deposit. Two that after a hospital visit last Fall he had to dress her wombs in their parking lot shelter every night.
